Casey and Anna decided to celebrate the end of their semester with lunch and Christmas shopping in downtown Georgetown. “I have an idea for Tony’s present, but I need you to tell me if it sounds corny.”

Anna frowned. “You’ve only been back together for three days, are you—”

“No,” Casey cut her off with a wave of her hand. “I don’t want your opinion on whether to get him something, that decision has already been made.”

“Fine. You don’t listen anyway,” Anna said. “What do you want to get him?”

“I’m going to get him a gray tie to match his eyes, and I’ll make my grandma’s fudge. You know, the one with the marshmallow and walnuts.”

“I love that one. That sounds good.”

“I’m not done.” Casey looked around the restaurant before leaning forward so she wouldn’t be overheard. “I was thinking of getting some sexy negligee, the kind you would only wear for a guy,” she whispered. “And then putting it on under something and doing a striptease for him.”

Anna closed her eyes and shook her head. “I don’t want to think about this.”

“Come on.” Casey gripped her hand. “I don’t want to embarrass myself. Do you think he’d like it?”

“Of course he’d like it!” Anna said loudly and then lowered her voice significantly. “He’s a guy, isn’t he?”

“Maybe you should ask David. Just to be sure.”

“Ask David?” Anna repeated, her eyes widening. “You want me to ask my boyfriend if you should put on slutty lingerie and strip for Tony Prossi?”

“Shh.” Casey frowned.

“Don’t shush me. I’m not going to ask David. If I ask David, he’s going to picture you doing a striptease in slutty lingerie and then he’s going to want to see me do a striptease in slutty lingerie. And I’ve already spent seventy-five dollars on his gift. Trust me, Casey, you have an amazing body. It will probably be the best present Tony’s ever gotten.
